In my opinion working overtime should only be done when the team feels it is necessary to meet a commitment THEY made (not commitments made by others and imposed on them)

THANK you!

You just can't have a well functioning agile team without respect for it's members. And yet, how much do you really think a manager respects someone as a person when they tell them time and again that their personal life doesn't matter because they have to work overtime? Anti-pattern, indeed!

I totally agree with your post that overtime is unproductive. I only worked overtime a few times and I absolutely hated it. The whole time I checked my watch to see how much time I had left to work.

Agile Bob - I think someone tweeted "overtime what happens when the air goes out of agile" which made me chuckle. I agree with your 5 reasons teams should not work overtime.
