How a ScrumMaster relates to team members, Product Owners, stakeholders, executives, managers and others in the organization will often correlate to project success or failure. Soft skills required to be effective as a ScrumMaster are not typically taught in an effective manner. This lack of training and knowledge causes ScrumMasters to rely on their own instincts which are often fatally flawed because they are the result of a particular perspective. This course is designed to help ScrumMasters learn through highly interactive exercises how to facilitate well, coach well, resolve conflict and be a true team leader.

Description:
The role of ScrumMaster is a leadership role, but so are all other Agile/Scrum roles. How does ScrumMaster differ? The answer is in the description of the role. A ScrumMaster is a leader when it comes to the health of the team and the process. In order to be effective the ScrumMaster must be able to use various soft skills at any given point in time in order to be most helpful.
Facilitation, coaching, conflict resolution and leadership are all closely interwined. This course will help attendees understand the differences and good techniques for each skill. The course also provides significant time for simulations and other exercises to explore complex soft skill usage scenarios.
