Bob Hartman
aka Agile Bob

Bob Hartman, known as "Agile Bob" is President of Agile For All, LLC. He brings over 30 years of experience developing software to every client engagement. His logic‐based approach to software development and quality was honed early in his career when he obtained both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Since that time he has broadened his industry knowledge by serving in almost every role in the software industry including developer, tester, documentation writer, trainer, product manager, project manager, business analyst, senior software engineer, development manager and executive. His experience includes 8 years running his own consulting firm and over 15 years of public corporate experience at the Vice President level.

Over the past 10 years he has grown from being an early adopter of agile to his current status as a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) and Certified Scrum Coach (CSC) who has does significant training, coaching and mentoring in all areas of agile development. He founded Agile For All, to continue to promote the use of agile development methods. Bob teaches all of our process courses as well as many of our role specific courses. He specializes in helping organizations of all sizes achieve successful agile transitions.

Bob has a passion for Making Agile a Reality^® for organizations. His 30+ years in the software industry have given Bob the experience necessary to help organizations regardless of size or other situations. He has held almost every position in the industry from developer and tester through project, product and development manager finally culminating with 15+ years as the Vice President of Engineering for a publicly traded company. These experiences have helped him succeed with agile training, coaching and mentoring for a wide variety of organizations including HP, Pearson Education, University of Iowa, Western Union, Weyerhaeuser, Vibrant Media, Arapahoe County, Standard & Poors, Waterford Research Institute and Siemens.

He is in demand as a speaker, having spoken at numerous major conferences, seminars, workshops and user group meetings where his engaging style, holistic view of development and personal anecdotes are always well received by attendees.
